Hi there, I'm Laromlab. I'm writing this on the 30th of December, 2024. Just over a day until 2025.
I've reflected on the past year already in my recent video, "Reviewing Every Video I Made in 2024"
so I don't really want to retread old ground in this newsletter post. Instead I want to talk all about my plans for the coming year!! 2025 here I come!
I have a lot of things I want to acomplish in 2025 in terms of my YouTube channel. Firstly, I think I have a pretty good shot at breaking over 1,000 subscribers next year! Or at least, I'm very optimistic about it. If I manage to complete some of my BIG project ideas for next year, hopefully we'll hit that milestone in no time.
Another goal of mine is to finally learn Premier Pro. I've been using Shotcut to edit my videos (shoutout Shotcut my beloved) for several years now, and I can safely say that I know this program inside and out. Except for like, motion tracking I guess. That still eludes me. But I'm starting to realise that Shotcut might not cut it in the future. After seeing a friend of a friend using Premiere to quickly edit a YouTube short in a Discord call, and doing it WAY faster than I could have, it made me wonder if Shotcut is holding me back at all. At the same time, using a better program won't just make your editing better immediately, I'd still be better at using Shotcut because I'm more familiar with how it works. But from what I've heard, Premiere is THE industry standard, not just on YouTube but if I ever want to yknow... get a job. I always figured I'd use my editing in a job so if I want to do that, I should probably learn Premiere. I've typed Premiere so much it doesn't look like a word anymore.
TLDR; I need to learn Premiere Pro so I can join the big leagues.
This year I've gotten a lot more comfortable editing, being in front of a camera, and writing scripts. All in all, I want to make bigger and better videos. I have a Google Doc filled to the brim with video ideas for this year, and they're all BIG ones. No more 3 minute long Minecraft Funny Moments™️ videos.
For starters, obviously when the next chapters for Deltarune come out, I'm gonna be on those games like a HAWK. I'm expecting a minimum of one video on each chapter, but more than likely I'll make more because of secret bosses, weird routes, egg collecting, etc.
(That probably sounds odd to Non-Deltaruners haha.)
If Baldi's Basics Plus 1.0 happens to come out next year, I'll probably play that too. I've been keeping track of the updates and such and given that the game is at version 0.8 as of writing, there's a chance it'll be out soon.
But the BIGGEST plan of all for next year is a series I've wanted to do for a long LONG time.
THE HALO MASTER CHIEF COLLECTION.
I bought this game back in April 2021 and ever since I've wanted to go through it and play all the Halo campaigns for the FIRST TIME. I've never played a Halo game's campaign before, only dabbling in Multiplayer at a friend's house long ago. I'd love to make either one video per campaign, or maybe one MASSIVE video where I play through all of them.
(Or both, cos I could always rerelease the videos in one big package down the road.)
Unfortunately, there's one thing getting in the way of my YouTube endeavours. I have to lock in for 2025 to make sure I pass all my classes. Which means more studying, which means less time for YouTube. At least, if I'm responsible that is. I really want to do well for my final year doing classes, but doing that along with keeping this channel afloat will be tricky. Hopefully you'll be there to support my channel even if I might upload a little less next year.
Thank you internet stranger for reading my silly little """newsletter""" and I'll see you next year.
Hopefully it'll be a great year, filled with Funny Moments, YouTube Points, and MASSIVE Success.
Bye bye for now :)
